QR code for Wi-Fi
The network name and password go inside the code. iPhone and Android recognise it from the camera and offer to join.
How to make it
- 01Type the network name (SSID) exactly as phones show it.
- 02Add the password and security type, usually WPA/WPA2.
- 03Download the code and put it where guests see it: entrance, table, bedside.
Tips
- Case and spaces matter
- The network name has to match exactly, capitals included. Copy it from the router settings if unsure.
- A guest network
- Better to make a separate network for guests: if you change your own password, the sign still works.
- Works offline
- The code doesn't go through the internet: the phone reads the details and joins directly.
Free, or with a plan
Static codes are free forever. With a plan they become dynamic: change them after printing and see every scan.

Questions
If I change the password, do I reprint?
Yes: the password and network name are written in the code. That's why a guest network with a stable password is a good idea.
Does it work on every phone?
Yes, with the iPhone camera (iOS 11 and later) and almost every recent Android, no app needed.
